Dr Ella Kangaude holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship (2019, University of Lusaka), has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (2005, University of Malawi: The Polytechnic) and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (1999 University of Malawi: The Polytechnic).

Dr Kangaude is an intellectual and consultant in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. She joined MUBAS as Manager of MDC on 3^rd July, 2023. She was a Senior Lecturer at Malawi University of Science and Technology from January 2015 to June 2023. At MUST, she also doubled as the Head of Business studies Section, Postgraduate Courses Coordinator and Team leader of Innovation mentors among other responsibilities. Dr Ella also worked at UNIMA-Polytechnic from 1999 till 2014 as an academic member of staff, MDC Coordinator and MDC Director.

Dr Kangaude has taught the following subject at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels: Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, Introduction to Business, the Business Environment, Creative Thinking and Innovation, Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Production and Operations Management, Management, Technology Commercialization. Dr Kangaude also takes an active role in Postgraduate dissertation supervision and examination. She also takes a leading role in assessing innovative business projects undertaken by both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Some of the business proposals developed by students with the help of Dr Kangaude-Nkata have been given Innovation Awards.

Dr Kangaude  has adequate experience from the industry. She worked for the Lilongwe City Assembly as the Director of Commerce and Industry (2008). She also worked for NBS Bank as the Training and Development Manager (2009). Dr Kangaude has been engaged in several training programs and consultancies in the field of business and management by both the private and public sectors.
